The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed about the significant amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that sassa status makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this here reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all clients and boost entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call SRD toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
